Brandon Vera Vs. Keith Jardine In The Future

Cage Potato reveals that Brandon Vera will get Keith Jardine in his next match up at 205. This is a very interesting fight, with both guys on the cusp of the top tier of 205ers. Jardine was there, after the wins against Forrest and Liddell, and Vera is on his way. The winner of this fight is easily top 10 material, and the loser will most likely not be ranked.

Man i dunno. I really, really liked Vera. I have to say watching this last fight vs. Andy and how easily Werdum man handled him when they met, I just dunno...

TBH I dont like either fighter, but I think Jardine has more of an advantage. I dont consider Vera to be a powerful puncher or KO artist, which plays into Jardine's fighting style.

"MMAJunkie.com is reporting that Keith Jardine spilled the beans about a light heavyweight bout against Brandon Vera at UFC 89 on a recent appearance on an Albuquerque radio show.

UFC 89 is being held in Birmingham, England on October 18 and currently features a headline fight between middleweights Michael Bisping and Chris Leben.

Rumors regarding this event have been rampant in recent days, including reports that Anderson Silva may face Patrick Cote in a middleweight title defense and that the event will end up on Spike TV.

Jardine comes off a first-round TKO lashing at the hands of Wanderlei Silva at UFC 84, while Vera produced a lackluster unanimous decision victory over UFC newcomer Reese Andy in his light heavyweight debut this past Saturday at UFC Fight Night 14."

Brandon Vera was on everybody's list of to be great but man how he's fell off! Jardine is a fighter who's always gonna be dangerous to anybody...he obviously can be knocked out...Vera is better than his last few fights...I'm picking Vera by submission
